Is it common to get Gel Coat blistering on bottom of boat where boat sits on Trailer skids?

I would never know if I had blisters on there because I have never seen the bottom of the boat except when it is on the trailer. I would guess you mean it extends slightly beyond where the trailer sits on the bunks as well...or you got it on a lift now instead of the trailer?
The bunks are supposed to be made of wood that will dry out and not allow the water to penetrate the gelcoat, even with the boat on the trailer.Be excellent to one another.

I have never seen it myself, but this company claims it can with carpet covered bunks. I just went out to cover my boat and water is still dripping from the bunks after a 30 mile drive home. It's parked on a slope and the gravel it wet on both sides toward the rear of the trailer.

Blistering is common on boats that sit in water warmer than 75 degrees. Carpet bunks usually dry and allow the gel to breathe.....
It wont hurt anything, but I bet it drives you crazy knowing they are there.
