I pull them about 21MPH if the water is glass. My wake really cleans up at that speed and they can catch great air. If it is rough I slow down to about 17mph. In this pic, my 11y/o got stuck back there with a new kid who sat in the middle of the wake. She couldn't do any jumps or tricks without running into the other kid.
On the 22VE Shirley would pull me 22 mph on a 75 foot rope, but if you were on a 60 foot rope 20 to 21 should be enough to clean the wake. You only need a clean wake if you want to jump it.
Spent last week on a houseboat in Shasta. Still recovering and uploading pictures, but here is one of the boat and our private inlet behind us. Had a GREAT time! Will throw more up when I can. Had more mechanical issues than any other trip (only 1 Tige related), but I'll save that for a different thread. This one is dedicated to pictures (which we all love).
The second picture is my Uncle's jet boat. I think it symbolizes how spoiled we were with the spot we found. We're pulling a freakin' TUBE on that water. Insane, right?
