It is made of gold instead of Nibral, so the extra weight in the prop really makes the water displace easier.

For $600 it should be made of gold.

Just kidding, for most wakeboats, the lower pitch and greater diameter equates to a better hole shot when weighted and superior at holding the speed while wakeboarding or surfing a heavily weighted boat.

Be sure to call Acme with your boat engine, tranny type, elevation and wakeboarding/surfing habits to see if it would work for you.

I pick up my boat this Friday (was in the shop for repairs) had them replace the damaged prop with a 1235. Can't wait to shred it up!
What boat you putting it on? Is clearance going to be an issue?

Three days of boating this holiday weekend! Love the new prop! Fits like a dream tons of clerance from under hull and trailer!
The pull out of the hole is much better than before with the standard 537. Even at cruise she's got lots of throttle response, although I did lose 3-5 mph on the top end the added torque is worth it.
Finally I can load up all ballast and don't need people in the bow to help get on plane.

ok so I am soon to be in the market for a new prop. what is the best prop to get? I have a 2000 21v RE. We surf and wakeboard religiously. Usually run a about 1800 in ballast when boarding plus peeps the norm is six. I am never really in high elevation, usually in between 1500 to 1600 ft. what would be the best prop guys?

wakeboard speeds range from 22-25 mph
                surf 10.5 mph

It is the blue v-drive if that helps. I can never remember off the top of my head. As for the prop on it...good question I will check when I get home. It had a stainless steel one which I think is what the original was...but the people we bought it from also had a back up brass prop (OJ) that I have since put on cause I know the damage a stainless cand do.

OK,, after a few trips out with it ;;lot more torque much more comfortable with adding wieght now, with same setup and weight as before wave dies at 11 or over and looks best at 10.2 slower than i prefer ,added more people and seems better so i just ordered the jumbo vdrrive 1100lbs slightly larger than locker but shuold make 800+lbs hopefully that does it . does anyother rz4 owners have a jumbo in there rear locker curious how well the floor and back wall are going to hold up and does the prop affect my p.pass?

Not sure about a RZ4, but the 1100# jumbo sac fits perfect in my 24V locker.
