I concur with Mr. Theisen and ol' Nickypoo

#1 People buy "NEW" boat so they don't have the out of pocket expense of fixing issues.

#2 This seems to maybe be a dealer short fall not a Tige boat issue,

#3 Doing the "rant on the forum trick" won't get much sympathy from members or from the dealer. If the dealer doesn't go beyond the "call of duty" to help you when your in a jam....thank yourself for that.

#4 You could very easily had these issues with a Mastercraft, Malibu, Moomba or what ever.

Your off the wall slam was only due to the fact that your "new boat excitment" was qui-bosched. Work through the glitches and I am sure you will be very happy with your product....unless you bought the wrong product for what you really want or need.

They do not specify the terms of the loan and without that information a determination of a good or bad deal cannot be stated.
I could easily see a 1K monthly on 55K boat depending on the loan type and terms.

We paid about 55K for ours, with 16K down on a 5 yr note, and ours was just over $800 a month. We opted to not do a tradition 15 or 30 yr boat loan.

I just want to add I own my 20k boat so hahahaha at your payments. But seriously that sucks to get a new boat with issues I got a new RV once same thing. But instead of bitchin on the Internet forums I took it back to the dealer and made them fix it. Also kinda low of you raging on us 20k boat owners trust me I will enjoy the water just as much if not more then you.

P.S. We have a dealer here in Oregon that every boat he sells he will take the new owners out on the lake and spend time with them showing them every thing they want and need to know whether it is a new or used boat. I have seen it personally. He is or has turned the dealership around and is definetly doing the right thing. I personally know of a correction he just recently made that he had nothing to do with and had no reason other than to help out a Tige owner while the boat was in the shop for something else. Didn't charge a dime for it and had he it would probably have amounted to $700 or more. Everytime I hear about him, he is doing something good for the owner of a boat he is working on and it makes me want to take my boat to him when/if I have troubles. He knows this and this is why he is doing the great service he is. Heck, when I boat my USED boat he didn't make a dime on it and he still offered to go out with me anytime and show me how to weight it for skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing.[/QUOTE]

I am glad to hear Joel treated you right. I can't say that was anything close to what my wife and I experienced when we bought our new 06 22V. We got promises but it was a different story when we went to pick up the boat. He is a salesman first and foremost and it definately showed on the back end of the sale.

But they said they put 10000 down and financed for 7 years. It doesn't add up something is exaggerated.

I am sorry to hear that. I was trying to find some gauges for another Tige boat and he spent time trying to find replacement gauges and found they weren't available anymore from Tige but found some other gauges that would work if I wanted.

A friend had his engine computer just up and quit this spring (could have happened when he had his amp stolen during the winter) and Joel made some calls to track down a used computer and get it working. Evidently, it took three attemps after the replacement computer didn't work to flash it and get the right programming on it as well as get the file off the net without corruption. He got it programmed correctly and it's running like a champ. I guess he could have not tried, my friend spent $2500 bucks and had a new computer, but instead he took the time and cost was 1/4 of the new price. That's pretty good I think.

I took some apholstery to a shop that was recommended and when I got the pieces back the corners were round not square as they should be, the cushions were higher then the originals which could be seen as I had two new outside cushions and one original middle cushion so it was extremely noticeable. The shop tried to tell me the did it correctly and even ask a shop tech what they did and after I said directly it wasn't done right, the cut open the cushions and guess what they were done WRONG. Did the shop ever have mud on their face. They tried to make me feel like I was crazy for telling them "their" business. After that, they haven't question anything and we are on good terms. Didn't bitch to anyone except the shop and even didn't bitch, just was direct and firm with conviction. And I would recommend this shop to others if they needed vinyl work done.

Every good story can be countered by a bad story I suspect.

I guess we all have good and bad stories about different dealers depending on the day/week/month/year. I hope we all can have more good luck than bad luck in the comming years of our boating experiences.
