Kight and Christine, I sympathize with your situation. I can imagine what it must HAVE felt like but to come on this forum and rant as you have and continue to do really isn't helping anything except that it enforces everyones negative view of you. Sounds like there have been many with issues with new boats on this forum but I don't believe they resorted to the comments you have.

There are so many good people on this forum to ask for help and get some good advice that to have someone post as you have is really a shame.

I don't think you going off on this forum got you anything from the shop that sold you the boat.

Maybe the pressure of buying a 55K boat has gotten the best of you and your situation. Can't think of something that would get somone to do what you have done on this forum except that you are in way over your head or something.

Taking issue with those of us that haven't bought a new boat because we live within our own means is really low. To be honest we probably are some of the smartest people on here not taking the hit driving off the lot.

Seriously, what have you done...gotten a new boat, no you will still have the same boat you had before the issues cropped up. Did you get better service, you might think so but I bet in the long run you might pay more for things you need.

Man, this could have been handled so much better and really could have turned out to be a very positive thing. Just think you could have come on this forum, laid out what you encountered, people on here (some are very connected) could have assisted you and gotten things straighted around with not much pain and you could have had a real community supporting your delema. But instead, you pissed a lot of people off and have a lot of people thinking anything but to help you.

Wow! Good Job and Good Luck

P.S. We have a dealer here in Oregon that every boat he sells he will take the new owners out on the lake and spend time with them showing them every thing they want and need to know whether it is a new or used boat. I have seen it personally. He is or has turned the dealership around and is definetly doing the right thing. I personally know of a correction he just recently made that he had nothing to do with and had no reason other than to help out a Tige owner while the boat was in the shop for something else. Didn't charge a dime for it and had he it would probably have amounted to $700 or more. Everytime I hear about him, he is doing something good for the owner of a boat he is working on and it makes me want to take my boat to him when/if I have troubles. He knows this and this is why he is doing the great service he is. Heck, when I boat my USED boat he didn't make a dime on it and he still offered to go out with me anytime and show me how to weight it for skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing.

Thats great no one is saying there is not great dealers out there. What I am trying to say is that this one needs to be delt with. Its a shame someone spent what they did and what they got! Think about it 10g to most people is alot of money! Some people have never had 10g to spend on anything!

Agreed. Just don't agree with the amount of honey that was used in the rant. A lot of poison coming from the lines of what was said. Not saying there wasn't some complaining to do but this was over the top stuff. Especaially on this forum. Rant to the dealer, maybe even go to Tige directly but to rant here...what is up with that? What were the expectations regarding ranting on here? Support, sympathy...not going to get much here with that kind of stuff pouring out.

And to clarify, the used boat we purchased wasn't from the dealer is what I meant to say. we bought it from a private seller. So the dealer really didn't make a dime on the deal. But I had built up a little bit of a relationship with him over the phone asking questions when looking for a boat and so when we bought the boat he offered. That is what I meant to say in my previous post.

Anybody check to see if Wicked and Kight are frieds on here?!?! bahhahahahaha... u guys make for a good monday. thanks for entertainment.. also has nobody on here realized that the complaint is over something that when they put the boards up...u should have noticed had u been boating for so many years.. sorry for your issues man..but seriously..They might have had an issue with those racks and could not even be directly related to Tige. I have a metacraft tower that has cracked and almost broke on me.. but I check it and I still use it. I don't come on here to vent but to seek answers and find out what I can do to fix the problem.

@ Wicked you could blab all day about dealers and how they should do this and that.. we know you will never buy another Tige again.. blah blah blah... Just remember.. opinions are like a$$holes.. everybody has one and they all stink!

And to add to it all you think that because you bought a 55k boat and have a 1k payment (please send me the name of your creditor... so I know never to use them) that you are somehow better than someone like me and my 20k boat..?? please.. I will put my boat right up against yours and hang right with ya.. minus the boards falling off onto my passengars.. It's called boating with Murphy's Law.. get used to it..Good Luck, sounds like you may have some karma headed your way.

Not really. They have a balance of 45K to pay. At 1K a month they are still looking at a 60 month pay out with an interest rate of 5%. Now if the loan was was for 7 years then you are getting into rate categories of 18% or more. They do not specify the terms of the loan and without that information a determination of a good or bad deal cannot be stated.

                          I think it's all blown out of proportion like their side of the story.Let's use LOGIC.If one rack fell off[could have been bolts loosening during towing,not uncommon}then wouldn't you check the others before you put your boards in.Exageration of payments and how much you paid is not uncommon.I used to sell cars so i've heard all the poor little me stories.I know personally i would rather help someone who was calm an acted like an adult,than a childish crybaby [all about me,where's my bottle?}

Well, I will say great job of Ben and his customer service.

OP, sorry to hear the troubles and hope that things get resolved. It doesn't look good if the dealer doesn't know what they are doing and treats their customers like they did.

Quick review. Couple things went wrong on the initial trip out. Dealer decides to make it right. End of story.

The rest of this thread should be deleted. Bunch of F'n worthless BS.
