Heading to Powell this Sunday for a week on a houseboat. I hear water is rising rapidly, has anyone been there over last couple weeks? How fast actually rising daily? Did u have to reset anchors? Our anchors got buried under water last year, I would suggest never, ever, never, doing that by the way...

I just got back 3 days ago. From the graph above, you can see how fast it is going up.
It is critical that you select a site that allows you to put the anchors far enough up on the shore that they won't be under water by the end of your time there. We found a perfect little spot with a sloping shoreline and put the anchors 5-6 feet above the water line. By the end of our 4 days they were 1-2 feet out of the water.
If there is wind, then it is very very important that you tighten up those ropes even 3-4 times per day. Simply put the boat in gear and give her some juice to push it up on shore further, leave the engines on as you tighten the ropes. Learn to tie a taut line hitch, so you just slide the ropes when you tighten them and do not need to retie your knots every time.
Without windy conditions, we tighten the ropes morning and night. I learned from experience what an oh #$%@ moment it is when the houseboat suddenly comes off the shore. My lake powell week is the first week of June, so I deal with that rising water every year. (this year I got a second trip later in June).Be excellent to one another.
