If anyone has this issue, here is a quick fix:
"Safety John" (me) always does a walk around checking if the turn signals/brake lights on the trailer work. Last night my left turn signal wasn't flashing, but rest of trailer lights were OK. At first I thought wiring in the trailer somehow got loose, but then figured I would start upstream at the fuses.
I have a Ford Expedition and the fuse box is on the passenger side outbound wall. I opened up and was looking for the 10Amp fuse that failed. All checked out fine. Then I futzed more with the wiring, then checked fuses again. Still baffled on how all the fuses were good but the turn signal wasn't working.
The culprit fuse is WAY UP HIGH on the panel, sort of hidden behind a plastic post and rotated 90 degrees from all the rest of the fuses in the fuse box. I had to crane my neck up and around to see it. Once I saw/found the fuse, popped in a new 10 Amp fuse and it was a simple fix.
We're Okoboji Iowa bound in 24 hours with fully functional trailer lights. The 6 hour tow north is a hassle, but the week on the water makes it all worthwhile. Our Red/White 24ve will be parked in front of Fillenwarth's all week & looking forward to hooking up again with Rensink & Spenchey2.
