    Information on these lakes...

Going to New Braunfels this coming weekend and taking the boat with us. Has anyone been to Canyon Lake recently? Or even Lake Dunlap? Please let me know the conditions. Thanks.

Slightly off topic ;if you ever get a chance to get on lake Buchanan when the water is up ,up stream there's great water on the river and a super sweet waterfall when flowing good ,its close to canyon lake

tstick333 i know i'm from va but i've been to canyon lake and lake dunlap.Lake Dunlap is basically a dammed up river. It is protected by trees on both sides and really good for wakeboarding.Canyon Lake is wide open and really gets tore up by the wind, but is gigantic compared to LAKE Dunlap.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

tstick333........saw 2 stumps but they were marked. Much better than being beat up all day on Canyon lake. There were several boats on the water but its fairly long so enough water for everyone to share. And yes, its the guadalupe damned up, so the water is nice.

Sweet! Thanks guys for all your help. I believe we will hit up Lake Dunlap for a little wakeboarding and skiing. Anywhere to beach the boat or drop an anchor to chill out and relax? Thanks again.

We went to canyon lake last weekend, really nice blue and cool water but the winds chopped it up. Planning to go back july 8th.

I went to Lake Placid several years ago, which is the lake below McQueeney, which is below Dunlap. From what I have heard, Placid and Dunlap are very similar. I didn't find a place to beach the boat on Placid, since all the land is privately owned, but at the bottom of the lake near the dam is where everyone floats.

Planning to hit the San Bernard this Saturday, anyone have a report on it?

Bernard is ok. Has always been smooth when I have gone. A little bit brackish water though. I always clean my boat inside, run the fake-a-lake, and clean the hull to get off the dirty water. But still legit!

I have been to the Bernard many times, so I know the river - just looking for any reports as to how low it is. However, with rain today and yesterday, it might mess the river up a little.

I went down to the boat ramp on the colorado last night to check it out, 1 mile from the house, and it looked good. I'm sure the san bernard will be comparable due to it being close to the gulf.
