Anybody have suggestions for what to do with the under seat cooler on a 2010 Z1? I like the idea of the cooler but since it is not insulated the ice doesn't last long in the TX heat.

I guess that I am weird because I actually use it for drinks and ice. Yes, the ice melts in the summer heat. But I keep the plug in the bottom, and the cold water stays in there. It therefore has a large thermal mass that takes a long time to warm completely. By the end of the day, the ice may be all melted, but the remaining drinks are still reasonably cold.
It would be nice if it were insulated, but it works OK.

you guys sure the coolers arent insulated? I know the cooler on my 02 is insulated, I took it out last night.
It doesnt keep ice all day long but it keeps it long enough! even when most of the ice is gone the drinks stay cold for quiet a while.
If your gonna buy a new cooler, I have to recommend one of the coleman "Xtreme" series. Those coolers are insanely efficient, in 110 degree heat here in AZ it kept ice for over 24hrs. Pretty impressive!Joey - Red 20V Riders Edition
