Alpha Z bimini (pics please)

When I got my boat (used) it didn't have a bimini cover/any straps to hold it if I leave it on while trailered. So far it's been a major job every time I take it out putting the bimini up and down as I put it in and out of the water.

Based on what the cover actually looks like/how complex it is I'm probably either going to order one from my dealer or have a shop just make one.

Can anyone provide pictures of the Alpha Z bimini in the trailering position (folded up but still attached) and also with the cover that goes over it for trailering?

I would recommend just ordering one for it since it has the built in zipper and straps to hold it to the tower. Based on what it looks like i cant imagine it costing very much. I will try to find pics for you. Regardless we put ours up and down each time and I've learned the hard way (1.5 hrs later) that it is definitely a two man job. Too many poles and chances to bend or ding something up. Still way easier than anything we've had on a runabout

Well... I'm back to the drawing board. My dealer just let me know that you cant order the bimini cover separate from an entire new bimini top.
Can anyone show me what this piece looks like so I can explain it to an upholsterer? Also, what is the process for puttin the bimini into the stow/towing position on the alpha z? Right now I take it down each time (PITA).

The bimini cover is a basic black bimini cover with two 1" straps and snap lock with adjustable buckles sewn into the middle 1/3 of the cover. I use them but also add 4 separate bungees cords to help support the weight of the bimini top in the cover. The closed bimini top in the bag bounces alot when driving down the road and we have found more than once the adjustable strap has come loose completely. We have twisted the strap and that seems to stop the strap from coming loose and we still use the 4 bungees cords. I would consider using just 4 bungees cords with plastic coated hooks( no scratches on the alpha z tower) and forget about the 1" bimini straps.

Hmmm, when I ordered a new surf bimini top for this season, it did not come with a new bimini cover. That suggests they are not packaged together. Perhaps push harder directly with the company that makes the bimini for Tige.
