    Trailer spare wheel

    Hey guys.

Just a quick question. do all Tige boats come standard with a trailer spare wheel?? I've noticed in all the pics on the forum that every boat has a spare wheel but our boat doesn't....

I believe that is an option when you buy the trailer. The trailer and boat are separate items even though they come together and may look like they match. There are several different trailer brands that are used as well.

Oops I meant to also say that you could add one. I feel save having one for any trailer that I pull.

I don't have one - will be adding one before the first road trip

I went to Les schwab. Think mine was $120.00 with a wheel, I just throw it in the back of the truck.

I tow with a Sequoia, so I'll be installing a mount on the trailer - which is better, horizontal between the frame rails, or vertical?

I like the horizontal but haven't wanted to pay the price for the install. I haven't found a good do it yourself way without welding. I don't care for the vertical mount

I had Extreme Trailers add a new one to mine. It is cool. It swings down so you don't have to go climbing under the trailer to get the tire off and on.

90% of the pics I've seen of RZ2 have a spare wheel so was just wondering as we have a 2011 RZ2 and our dealer told us it was a full house with all extras.

                      Thanks for the replys everyone!

"full house with all the extras" was most likely referring to the boat only. My new Z1 did not have a spare tire with it or rear stern straps. I ordered a matching tire, rim and bracket straight from the trailer manufacturer. I am guessing the boat dealer most likely does not supply a spare tire with the package because some people don't need/want them for short travels.

I got the vertical mount for my RZ4... Small problem though as there is no room to mount my 22" wheel to it.. The OD is too big and it hits the underside of the hull. Not sure what I'm going to do, for now the spare is in the back of my truck.

I might have missed this already being posted, but ...

Trailers are an option and provided by outside companies. Tige also does not warrantee them, nor does any other boat manufacturer.

I plan to build this exact unit this year for mine.
