    Aerial tower

Has anyone put an Aerial on their Tige? We have always used Monster since they are service free and delivery in a day.I thought I saw someone complaining about Aerial's rattling.

contact Ian over at onlyinboards (ian@onlyinboards.com). He's been selling those for a few years, so he could let you know if he's had any complaints. Also, check out this to see how it would look...

Yikes, I like the Aerial Freeride a lot, but $200 more than retail everywhere else is steep.
      Waiting for another good one!

Just put one on my buddy's Bu. One of the female ends of the ladder section was bent and would not accept the leg. Took two weeks to get a new one. Instructions are a joke. Materials are exceptionally thin and soft, even for aluminium. It seems pretty sturdy although he has yet to water test it. Not a bad looking tower though.

          That is a neat tool.
The luck is gone, the brain is shot, but the liquor we still got.

He had us ship the offending part back before he would send a new one. Said he had been burned too many times. We also sent the leg back since we had to beat it and the ladder section apart with a rubber mallet while one of us twisted the ladder. It was a real SOB.

Yes, the Monster's are plain, but for the money and service they are great. I agree, as long as Monster has been around they could update their designs, maybe they will. We have an 04 Tige 22V LTD trading in today w/o a tower so we may let the buyer decide which type of tower they want.

I certainly don't think the Aerial Freeride is gorgeous. It looks ok from the front but does not follow the contour of the windshield at all. Too chopped up for my taste.

I just got a Aerial Assualt Tower. I had to send back the middle tube that is where the nag. light is. I couldn't get the butt joints on the light to make the 90 degree turn. I also had to send it back before they would send me a new one. The manger had a hard time understanding what I was having problems with. I am not impressed!! The instructions are a JOKE.Nickypoo,I noticed that you mounted the feet on the top as aposed to the side.Is that better that way? Also, did you use any other backing plates like wood?

He just liked those mounting points purely for aesthetics. That and they were really easy to access. His boat is so small that it made it so that the legs are buried all the way into the ladder section, makingit as narrow as it possibly can be. We just used the provided backing plates. They seem to be pretty decent.

When we were done, he felt he should have went with Monster, as ugly they are. However, its done. Time to move on. What he should have done is sell another house and buy a Samson. What do I know?

Nickypoo I am having problems lining up the other side once I decieded on the position. I am off by 1/2" on distance from the back of the boat and about the same distance from the side rail in. Did you run into this? I noticed that those 1st pieces that you install have a bow to them ( Like a left and a right) Does that sound right? These parts of the tower look to match up and measure the same. I also have the feet turned the same way. Help!
