Most the time I'm driving, but for people that are driving it I just tell them not to go wide open when we are unloaded. 30mph is plenty fast.

That can't be good for your boat if u van over rev like that, is it? I need to take my boat in and check it out because I should be going much faster.. Not top end wise but my hole shot.. Anyway. My rope was only 65 and that included the handle. Going to look for my extensions but who knows where those r now.

Get a couple 5' extensions. Go out to 75' at least. So many variables, but what matters most is a CLEAN wake.

You have to adjust boat speed and rope length to get the wake CLEAN and washing out behind the board.

it's not bad if you just don't over rev it. I would never do it by giving it full throttle out of the hole to much resistance but once on plane yes it could be bad, but that is why they have a rev limiter. I would never drive a boat around at wide open throttle anyways, and don't know to many people that would either.

Well WOT should be around 4700-4800 RPMs.. from my understanding, you should never be able to put your boat in the RED... I ran my boat at WOT for 45 min.. suck the **** outta gas... but when you gotta get somewhere it is necessary.. we were running away from a storm.. it was intense
