    HELP With Cracked Block

Thought boat was good in garage this winter. Had a harsh winter, went to check the oil in the engine. Level was high and oil was milky white. Is my block cracked and if so what is the usual cost to repair?
You have to fake it if you want to make it!!!

    You should be ok

Don't worry right now about it, some times oil can congeal and look white like that... With that said let the boat and engine sit outside in the sun so you dont shock the metal and cause it to crack.change the oil before you take it out the first time.when you take it to the water the first time leave it on the trailer and fire the engine... Leave engine hatch open and look for any signs of leaking oil; water , or anything weird. Once everything looks ok release boat and drive under no wake for 5 to 10 min to bring engine to normal operating temp... Dock.. And reopen engine hatch check again... If everything checks out have a great time out if not loaded it back up and get ready to spend about 5 to 6k... Hope this helps and good luck

I spent around three grand to replace mine. I did all the work, so there was no labor costs. I ordered a remanufactured long block with 35 more horsepower than the original.

      Good luck.
The luck is gone, the brain is shot, but the liquor we still got.
