    Boat Type: 1995 2002 FSLM

Body of water where operated: Lake Tapps, WA

    Eleveation: 600 feet or so...

Prop Original: what was on the boat 13x13 stainless steel

    New Prop: ACME 911 13x10.5

I think the 911 is a little overkill for what little ballast I run, which is up to 800lbs. I lost some at the top end but I don't really need to go that fast or very far so it does not bother me much. It now has a WAY!!! better hole shot than with my old prop. I'm pretty sure that if anything happens to this 911 I will replace it with the same prop.

      Boat 2007 22 Ve

      Lake Altitude 5000' feet

Bought boat used and it had a 645.

Local dealer stated that 537 was standard. The upgraded ones would be the 857 or the 1235.

Emailed ACME and they suggested 1579 or 1631.

I ended up getting the 1235, still waiting to test it out.

chpthril is always advocating the 1235 on here, and people seem to be happy with it. I believe he sells them and the weekend saver kit that comes with the prop, puller, etc. that gets kept in the boat just in case. I don't have a spare yet, but when I do I'll probably get the 1235 and keep my stock 537 as the spare.

        2010 RZ2
current prop: Stock Acme 537 4-blade

I run about 1400 lbs. of ballast and about six people and the prop slips and struggles out of the hole. We usually get the rop out on the run and pop up without the boat loosing its momentum. I'm sure it would be easier for newbs to get up without the slippage.

talked to Acme today, they said I should replace with #381. He also said if I wanted some more speed, I should go with 3 blade #801

I have the same boat 01 21V I swapped out a basically brand new ACME 381 for a 537. Let me know if your interested in the 381 or wanna try it.

              I live in Peoria.

Not disagreeing with you at all, but chpthrl actually is reiterating what ACME recommends (which is perfect IMO) There are plenty of circumstances where the 1235 is not recommended and he and ACME both saved me like $200+ by recommending a cheaper prop for me.
                Waiting for another good one!

Some good stuff in that thread, even an Alvie sighting. I never took any hard data but, I still love this prop.

It's an amazing prop, you are going to love it. Super good hole shot, top end not so much but I can still cruise at 30mph at around 3500 rpms. I ran a 1579 (13.5x14.25) last year after I switched out my v-drive, and it had a good hole shot, but rpms were a little higher than the 1433. I keep that as a spare now.

Before I switched my v-drive, I ran the stock 13x13 until I started adding ballast. Then it was 579, and then 911. The 911 was a good running prop, I just always felt like my engine was working to hard. That's why I switched to a gear reduction.

Now with the gear reduction and the 1433 a mere 4000lbs of water and four dudes planes out no problem. Plus the wake is a monster.
Awesome.. I have no ballast but with the amount of beer, gas, people and toys that I pile in my boat I guessed there to be almost 2,000 extra pounds.. I hope it works great because I would hate to have to send it back.. What about when you are WOT... what is your speed? I usually run about 2700 rpms when wakeboarding with my current prop.. it will be interesting to see how that changes... plus I was taking 3-5 seconds to get somebody out of the water. and that was pushing the boat full throttle at start!

This is all very great information! Thanks for helping make prop threads easier to find.. I know we all have different props but it is interesting to hear what people like and don't like...

Holy crap.. just saw you went from the stock 13 13 to a 13 x 10.5....

Takes you a while to get back to the dock, I'd imagine.

So I just took my boat out 3 times since putting my new prop on and I am not as impressed as I thought I would be but it is definitely a better hole shot than before.. and that is what I wanted .. just not sure if it was 600 dollars good, u know? Anyway..

                          I was running the stock prop.. 14.5 x 18.5

                          Switched to the Acme 1847- 14.5 x 14

Now at WOT I'm running 37.8MPH at 47-4800 RPMs.. Consumes the hell outta gas at that point but runs solid when she is open.. I was running about 40 MPH at 4300 RPMs on the stock prop... Each time I have gone out with the new prop I like it more and more though.. Just wondering if I should try for another prop maybe.. I'd really hate to loose any more top speed though.. Also when wakeboarding I have it at about 3000-3100 RPMs as oppsed to 2700 before.. The wake doesnt seem as good and it seems like I have to go faster just to cut into it hard enough to clear it.. any advice? Should I throw some ballasts back there and if so how much? I tavel regularly with 6-8 people..
