SeaDek - Pics of Install in Walk Thru

Some asked for some pics of the Sea Dek I installed in the walk thru of my RZ2. I did this after I already purchased and installed the Sea Dek on the Swim Platform.

It's hard to tell in the pics, but I had them make it single ply on the small rope lockers, double ply in the walk thru area and double ply to match the swim platform on the "seat". I really deliberated on the color of the walk thru material. I couldn't decide if white would work or not (read stay clean), but so far I'm pleased with it. I love it. It gives great traction for wet feet. Let me know if you have any questions:

That looks awesome. Now I'm curius. How does the white do with getting dirty?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Very nice! Such a clean install.

Did you have the white SeaDek on more than one season yet? And it still looks that good? If so, wow.

I put it on sometime last season....so maybe half a season? My wife and I are Super Troopers when it comes to keeping the boat clean. I actually think it's easier to keep clean than the white, textured gel coat that's under that SeaDek.

Wow! That looks REALLY good! Did you have it custom made or did you order sheets of it and do it yourself? How much did it cost for all of that? Thanks for sharing the pics with us.

They sent me a template kit (or I bought one from them...don't remember) and I made templates of each piece then sent it back to them for a price. I believe they credited the amount of the template kit against the cost of the SeaDek. It wasn't hard to do. It did take them forever to get the pricing to me and to make it and get it to me. If you're wanting it for this season, good luck. I'd plan on it for an off season project.

I don't recall the cost but it was somewhere in the $200's...but well worth it IMHO

Check Seadek's website. They do have custom applications for certain Tige models ready to go. I am hoping to do this upgrade sooner then later. Looks great!!

I did install it. The hardest part was deciding on colors.

I used their template kit to make templates for each piece I wanted and sent it into them for the pricing and ultimately to have it made. It was simple to install.

I'd imagine your boat would have the same dimensions as mine. If you talk to them they might still have the templates for mine. I'm sure they'd send them to you to verify. They did when I ordered my swim platform pad. If you want to try it, PM me and I'll give you my name for SeaDek to reference.

                            David,

How did you bond the material to that textured surface? Did you have any problems in this respect when installing? I agree that that textured Surface is hard to keep clean. One benefit of my colored deck is that the dirt doesn't show up as much. I understand its function, noone wants to go walking around on smooth, waxed gelcoat. However, it is a PITA to get excess wax out and keep clean. When you look at cost of an upgrade v. value (be it economic or in utility) this one has to be near the top of any I've seen. This just went on my list for next year. I'm inspired.
