I am from northern Utah and will be headed back to Utah for a family reunion. We are having it at Jordanelle. I have never been there and wanted to know what there is that I should know or be aware of. After that we are planning to head to Bear Lake for a couple of days.
Is there any other water that would be as good or better than Bear Lake?
I did this for Colorado maybe one for Utah is good. A list of lakes and their pros and cons. There are actually a couple that are over the border into Idaho but I will stick to Utah. I have missed some but just put up what I know. Hope this will help someone.
Newton - Used for irrigation so if it is dry it gets used up quick. Small
Hyrum - Small lots of moss
Willard - Can be choppy
Bear Lake - Big nice beaches. They claim this year most of the beaches will disappear. Cold
Pineview -
Jordanelle -
Utah Lake - shallow and nasty (that is where I test drove my boat)
Deer Creek -
Strawberry -
Sevier -
Sand Hollow - Mussels found
Quail Creek - Have to decontaminate at Sand Hollow
