    "I screwed up"

Should have got the Perfect Pass option.

With the old Supra it was no problem to manually hold the speed through the slalom course and the 20V is the same but when it comes to wakeboard speed I either need a lot more practice or add the Perfect Pass. (With the 05 I don't think the new 06 speed control is compatible)

    Opinions please.

If I do add the PP during the off season what kind of job am I getting into? Has anyone here installed one? Where do they put the hole in the hull on new units? I've read the PP install instructions and it sure does not look too tough.

Perfect pass was the best thing that hit us. It's differen't in all boats though. I rode in a Malibu Euro (Early 90's) and it held wakeboard speed fine loaded down, but our boat (2005 22v) tends to like to change speeds without PP.

I've heard it was not hard to install, but if worst comes to worst, you can always have a dealer install it. I'd definitely look into it during the off-season.
