This is a brand new 08 below dealer cost. Put a tower on it and you will have a great boat with the full factory warranty

That one has the Marine Power engine in it. Wonder if you could put an Alpha Z tower on that one?

Well, wasn't sure if they reinforced the newer model in different places in preparation for the Alpha Z over the old tower.

I bet you could have a shop reinforce it and install it, But maybe not.

With no tower that boat should be priced around 37K with trailer if it is below invoice.

Lots of room for upgrades if you have 60 to spend

When we toured the factory they were thicker and had special blocks to spread the load.

On the one thing I do not know if you really load your boat with ballast if you would be happy with the 275hp. This one has the 320hp, same as iwndr and he loves his.

I checked this boat out when we were looking, and I believe you can not put the Alpha Z tower on there, unless you have extensive reinforcement work completed, hence cheaper to get a new one. Of course, you could always add a monster tower? By the looks of the trailer in that pic, the trailer looks bad also for a brand new boat. This boat would be a great starter boat to add to though and build it the way you want to.

I don't really like putting down other boat companies but since this is a TIGE' OWNERS FORUM, I thought I would post this.

So, a crew in my home town bought a brand new AXIS and well see below: (post from gcwa.com)

                          Post 1

Well my brother picked up his boat on Friday. We went to Duessen and put it on the water for about an hour to give it a shake down. Packed it up and went home. Saturday we got everything loaded up and headed back to Duessen. Our plan was to ride over to skiers cove for the day. To make a long story short we were being towed back to the ramp not even an hour into our day. After putting it back on the trailer we drove it straight back to the dealer. After they trouble shot it for an hour or so, they determined the ECM went bad. Memorial weekend ruined.

                          Post 2

new2 - did you ever get your bros boat worked out in time?

Nope he spent all week arguing with the dealer about whos fault it was. Long story short he now has to pay another 500 to fix the ECM in his brand new boat. Axis said they will run some test on the ECM and if they see that it wasnt his fault they will refund his money. If you dont know the story, as soon as he got the boat home he change the intestate battery out for a diehard platnium marine. They are trying to say that he hooked the battery up wrong and caused the ECM to take a voltage spike. Only we know its not true because we ran the boat for an hour on friday and 30 mins on saturday before it broke down 1000 yrds. aprox from the boat ramp.

I think the idea of Z1 was originally their entry level boat to compete with Moomba etc. I may be wrong. I think the idea of the length of the boat is what puts it in its class to compete with is not fair either. I would not put a Z1 in same competition class as a VLX,210 etc. The only reason it would be is because of its 21ft ish boat. I think really if your comparing and putting in classes I would look at the RZ or 22Ve with those boat and Tige bonuses you and extra 6" to a foot. Just my thought. The Z seems to be a bit more plain compared too RZ and Ve. Hell they are all more BLINGED than my 02 x star.

Wow, this thread should be merged with the "Wont buy another" thread. Boat "manufacturers" are not true manufacturers. They build hulls, and piece together the engines, transmissions, the stereos, gauges, props, trailers, towers, and other appurtenant parts together into a finished product. Then, when something goes wrong, they point the finger at the other company...

How nice would it be to find a boat company that covers the entire package?

                                Anyone?
                                Ok.. I got nuthin....
