dgreenhouses - I'll be looking for you out on Somerville this summer. I live just east of College Station, and we head out to Somerville on the weekends. If it's during the week, we'll head to Lake Bryan or sometimes Gibbons Creek.

I have a 2011 blue, black and white 22 Ve. If I see your boat with the wrap, I'll swing by and intro myself. It looks great!

Dave S - For a family with young kids (9, 7, 2) who like to anchor and swim as much or more than they want to wakeboard, would the Trinity be a good choice? I've heard the wakeboarding is great, but I'm a little concerned that the Trinity wouldn't be ideal for the just swimming part. What do you think?

Dgreen - there's a post on the linked message board about the Trinity River (Riverside), with some good information. I've never been, but would like to check it out sometime. I'm a little scared of the Trinity since I know next to nothing about it.

It sounds like someone has marked the channel to get from Bethy Creek Resort out to the river. There's also a public boat ramp right off of Hwy 19 at the Trinity, but I don't know if it's tricky or not.

The Trinity is great for riding. You should check out the ramp at Bethy Creek Resort (bethycreek.com). There is a public ramp right on 19 where it crosses the river northeast of Huntsville, but there isn't much security and no docks. I would highly recommend you use Bethy ramp for just day trips for a fee, not sure what it is. There is a small lake at Bethy Creek that you go through to get to the main river. In that small lake you can anchor and swim and there is a small beach area there at Bethy Creek as well. I am also on GCWA.com - Dave S there as well. To get from Bethy boat ramp through the small cut into the river can be tricky. The main river is 40+ feet deep. You just have to watch for the occasional floater (branches, logs, etc.).

          I have a map posted on GCWA.com. I will post the link - http://gcwa.com/forum/

go to general discussion, then scroll down to the thread named "Trinity River (riverside)" it should be the top 10. If you got your boat at Texas Tige, they have their owner’s reunion there in the fall. The trinity is one of the best places to ride in the area. Disclaimer-you have to watch the weather, if Dallas has had a lot of rain, all the trash will float down river and could make the river dirty and have a lot of floaters, only happened to me twice in 7 years. You can also call Randell Jr. at Bethy Creek and ask him for river conditions updates or check the gcwa website forum, river updates are posted there on occasion as well. Also, GCWA has their “fall bash” there in September as well. Rooms fill up fast for this event, so either camp or request a room early.

I know I am missing something so ask away.

Love the wrap!! It's crazy that the only thing that really lets you know it is the z1 is nose of the boat. You can't even tell the difference in the two separate panels from the front to back. They did an awesome job!!

By the way, the Trinity is one of the best places I have taken my boat for ridding. It is butta all of the time!! Oh, and it's 30 feet deep.

                    Great looking boat.

Just like Dave S, i also put in at Bethy Creek, or you can use the the ramp off of HWY 19 in Riverside. Bethy is really cool because you can chill in the "lake" area there and then ride on the Trinity. You are talking miles of smooth water!

So you know, when you leave the lake area by Bethy Creek you will want to hang a left out channel and just start enjoying the butta.

                        Hope this helps.
