if tige doesn't help you out for less than 1000 for something that should not have happened (as long as you weren't pulling anything other than boarders from the tower) then shame on them...

you should remind them where this post is posted at and see if they change their tune...if stories like these get out on wakeworld or other sites it could definitely hurt Tige's image... its definitely changing the way I view them

Tige will not do anything for me. If they would have told me that the tower was going to break in 5 years, I would not be on this forum.

Very disappointed in Tige. This is my second Tige, and a third is still in my future, but that did not seem to be important to them.

I will call them in the morning and tell them to ship out the piece they found in their back lot. I guess I am lucky they found anything since the tower manufacturer is out of business.

That is a serious bummer, Duner. I hope you can get it fixed and be back on the water soon.

This is the first time I have ever heard of this tower failing in this way.

I am not surprised that Tige did not step up to pay for this. I highly doubt that any other manufacturer would have either. The boat is 5 years old and well out of warranty. I know several guys with entire engines that had to be replaced, and were less than 5 years old that did not get any discount or warranty. I am sure that Tige's argument would be: Where would Tige be if they started replacing every 5 year old part that failed?

The new tower (top piece) is on (from Tige $1,000), steering cable replaced, and now I need to replace the throttle cable and PP cable. Hope to finish today and be ready for July 4th. Lots of time spent, but should be well worth it.
