Here are the pictures of the failed welds. We were very lucky this tower did not snap while pulling a boarder.

Please let me know if anybody has an E series tower for sale

        Thanks, TD

I would check with Samson and see if the Razor will mount through identical mounting holes as the E series. I really like my razor.

Waiting on tige to call back with the bad news (pricing). Its not going to be cheap to ship it from the factory to AZ.
I was hoping that somebody had the top piece left over, but no luck yet.
Also thought of welding up the breaks and adding gusset plates at the joints. Any thoughts???

Looks like more of a metal fatigue failure than the welds to me. Glad no one was injured! Tried calling your insurance to see if it is covered?

Tige needs to take care of this....
(wait... I think I have said that before. Deja Vu?)

Tige said the tower, XTP, is out of business and that they would give me a discount on the part. It will be about $1,000 with shipping (my guess).

Really considering welding it up due to cost.

Not sure if my boat insurance (Progressive) covers material failure.

                            Zoiks!
Boat companies have all angles covered... The engine isn't on them.. the towers arent on them... the stereos arent on them... the trailers arent on them.... the transmissions arent on them... the props arent on them.

Im in the wrong business. They can sell a $70,000 boat, and if anything breaks, they tell you "we arent the manufacturer".

Bleh.... I guess it's part of owning a boat.

Exactly where I'm at right now. Metcraft is out of business, so "hopefully" they can find the replacement parts I need. If not, I'm going to have to spend $1,800 on a complete one.

Alright.. Im done bichin about Tige ... I have learned in my years with boats that ALL boat companies suck in one way or another.
I hope Tige gives you some love on this issue... They certified Metcraft's product when they sold it on their boat. They should honor whatever intellect went into choosing Metcraft.

Ya.. um.. good luck with that.
