    Reputable mechanic in Sacramento area?

I have a 2007 RZ2 with an electrical issue. Turn the key and no chime and no start. Gauges come alive but nothing else. Trans in neutral, deadman switch in correct position. Had a great mechanic look at it and after many hours couldn't find the issue. Sent the ECM out, checked out fine and was flashed. Mechanic put the ECM back in and after checking more connections found a loose wire in a connector. He bypassed around the connector and it fired up. Brought the boat home and fired it up again. One month later after some detailing fired it up one more time. Thought it was fixed, but went to hit the river yesterday, same issue, turn the key, no chime, gauges come alive and no crank. Any suggestions or help in finding a local mechanic would be appreciated. Previous mechanic lives out of the area and is pretty busy.

YES,but they may have seen a similar problem. My W.A.G. would be a bad ground. But electrical problems are one of my many weaknesses.

I would revisit that loose connection thats seems to be a problem the first time. Look for an issue with the wire/terminal or maybe the terminal is not seated in the connector correctly.

Thanks guys. Hopefully they will read my post and have some suggestions. In the meantime I will get with five flat for Dan the boat man's location.

We bypassed the connector and wired around it, and it happened again after a couple of starts. I am thinking that wasn't the whole problem.
