So my Tige developed a starting glitch after I installed the add a battery system. The first time I attempted to start it I turned the key and heard a click and then nothing. It did this about 4 times then started up fine. Afterward, after sitting for a while it does it again but only on the first attempt then starts up fine. It seems to be pretty consistent. Any ideas?

That's what I thought also so I checked all my connections and they are all good. I also tested the whole system with a voltmeter and everything checked out fine. The click is not a series of clicks like a low battery, just one click then silence. Then it starts up fine on the second try.Last edited by andrzej77ff; 05-19-2011, 09:33 PM.

it is for sure the relay. Mine has done the same thing twice and it was the relay both times. The relay touches the wire from the starter to the hot wire from battery. Corrosion will build up in the relay and when it pushes up to touch the two together the corrosions blocks it making it click. It is a really easy fix relay cost about 20 bucks.
