    Picked up new boat.....sort of.

If any of you read the "7 days and counting" thread, you read that me and my family were on the way to Lake of the Ozarks to pick up our brand new 24V last Monday.

    Here is the update.

We load our stuff and our 4 kids and head for Kansas City Monday.

Leave for the lake on Tuesday and get there in time to check our new ride! It loks awesome!! We love the way it looks and the whole package turned out great! And for the best part yet, the '05 we ordered turns out to be an '06!!!!!

We set a time to water test the boat the following day.

After some delay, we water test the boat. Runs great, seems to be one of the faster 24V's they've tested, etc. etc.

The boat itself seems to be great, but we basically wasted the next four days (we were planning on meeting some friends at another lake on Saturday-had to cancel) waiting on fixing a stalling/not starting/fuel starvation problem.

We just returned home (9+ hour drive from LOTO) without a boat. We spent a total of less than 2 hours on our new boat last week.
We are not very happy or impressed so far.

I will have to say that the dealer did everything in their power to get it going for us. Overnighted parts, spent overtime on the boat, etc.

I don't know yet whether we have a Tige issue or a marine power 6.0 vortec issue.

One of the main guys (Eddie?) from Marine power is supposed to be at the dealer tomorrow, and our dealer promised to deliver the boat to our door when it is perfect.

I really couldn't ask any more from our dealer, but on nearly every thread about new Tige problems, the first response is: "What about your dealer?"

Every time something like this happens to a customer, Tige will lose 10 more customers, and eventually dealers as well. A dealer should not have to spend ANY of their time fixing a brand new boat!!!

Granted, this may be a motor issue and not a Tige issue, but if I even SENSE one blaming the other with no results, I guarantee I will buy a boat that IS NOT a Tige, and DOES NOT have a Marine ower motor in it!!!

I am supposed to know more tomorrow I will relate the issues then.

Sorry to vent, but we just basically WASTED a weeks vacation, and it will not happen again!!

52 viewers of this post and no replies I'll say it.......................Man that really sucks!! I've been watching for you and Tanner to give us an update on your rides but not one like this. I did see another thread somewhere about problems with the 6.0 but don't remember where, but like a lot of new (insert item of your choice) when they get the glitches out you will have the newest and bestest!

(That's what ya get fer gettin' an 06 when I had to settle for an 05!! )

        Any update?

Sorry man, that has to be incredibly frustrating. How many hours did you put on it when going out with the dealer?

They delivered my 06 22v on saturday nite. I was a little weary. So when I took it to the lake on Sunday, I dropped the boat in the water and let it run for a while b4 I actually unhooking it from the trailer. Luckily no mechanical issues @ 4.5 hrs. However I did find a 4" crack in the gelcoat stemming from the rear port side pop out cleat. Other than that, I'm satisfied.

I hope you get your issues worked out.

            OK, here's the latest.

The Marine power guy checked everything out and could find no obvious problems with either the ECU or the pumps.

He suggested removing VERY pice of the fuel system and blowing them out with air.

They removed the fuel tank, lines injector rails, pumps, basically everything from the tank to the injectors.

They put everything back together and ran it for a couple of hours and it hasn't died yet. Very aggrevating to both me and them not to have something you can point at and say "That was the problem".

They're going to run it again today and see what happens.

Note to self: Don't buy used boat from SummerObsession!

Yeah, isn't that nice! Brand new and already labeled a lemon, which is exactly how I feel about it right now!!!

The guys have been working their butts off at Skiers Wharf. Boat still will cut out and die after some time.

Time to see what Tige` is made of as a company.

                    I'll let you all know.
