Looking for boardrack solutions with Metcraft tower

I was considering replacing the Metcraft, but after a little thought, my sons are near old enough or good enough (9 yrs old) to strain this Metcraft or warrant an $1800 purchase. I'll wait till I need to buy a new boat.

So with that said, anyone know what boardracks fit these Metcrafts? I have 'bungs' type things on the side. I've seen board racks on the top of these towers, but I don't have any bungs up there...
I want to be able to keep one surfboard, and a couple wakeboards...
    Waiting for another good one!

I have an '03 Metcraft tower on my 20i, and I purchased my racks from Monster. They included kits with sleeve inserts to fit various diameter towers.

Do you have a picture of the tower I may have a pair of the OEM TIGE racks that bolt onto the top side part of the tower.

Yes it is.....I check the bolts each month, they never seem to loosen by the way, and I never have had an issue...you could always just have the tower welded and make it into 1 piece if you dont ever need to fold it down. The monster tower brackets are lightweight, strong and very afforable...not to mention removeable in seconds from the clamps and in minutes from the tower should you want to take them off entirely...

I have the wetsounds Pro80's on mine and even with the smallest insert for our tiny tower tubing they still seem to slip. How do those 485's stay put or do they slip on your tower as well?

Use some no slip drawr liners between the clamps and the tower tubing, they come in various colors and you can cut to size, and double it up if you need more spacer.

If you have the same tower as mine...they should work....I actually had inserts that were Too small and the next size up was just a little Too big....so I took an insert from each size (too small & too big) and made the perfect size....If you are telling me that you dont have ANY inserts that are too small....then get some CLOTH tape (like you would wrap around a hockey stick) and make 1 or 2 passes around your tubing with the tape...then put your clamps on the taped area...you should be good to go....hope that helps...

BTW....I can't wait to try out the new Wetsounds speakers...Rev 8's and Rev 10's....I think I am going to add a pair of Rev 8's to the pair of {Pro 485's with an additional SYN 4 AMP to power the Rev 8's, I will just have to turn the gains down on the Syn 4....

Would there be any reason why you couldn't leave the padding on and put the mirrors and racks on?

I have been looking at the new towers, but I really would like the auto ballast. I re-inforced my tower w/ SS tubing over my joints. I would like to see all the pictures you have JB-Foot. I am starting to think I should just leave my tower on and go for the ballast. I really like the 2 mirrors, do you use both very much? Do you use the top racks at all?

Does anyone know how or what I could do to change the straps out to bungy cords on them. The straps don't work anymore.

I am going out w/ someone on Sat. who just got a new tower, I will see if that changes my mind.

JB-Foot here is my email if you have any more pictures.
