    Indexing Steering

Does anyone have any insight as to how to index the steering wheel? Not sure what happened between last season and now, but I need to move the wheel about 45 degrees to the right - thoughts?

If you have a steering cable, I would do one of the below but I am sure there are other ways as well.
    Option #1
disconnect the steering cable from the rudder in bilge at stern, climb under boat and line rudder up straight, go the steering wheel and center it reconnect steering cable.
Option # 2 disconnect steering cable under helm where it connects to gear wheels (this is a flat bar mechanism more than a cable), straighten rudder and wheel and reconnect steering cable

I like option # 2, I have heard of people actually just unbolting the steering wheel allen bolts but I do not know if there are any issues with this so I have never done this.

Id make sure none of the running gear is bent, causing a pull!

I re-centered mine after I had the steering cable replaced by making sure the rudder was dead straight, then unbolting the steering wheel, replacing it correctly and rebolting it. 5 minute fix.
