    20V 19.6 hour evaluation

    After 4 trips out;

    Our fuel guage seems to work fine, needle is stable, goes down when it gets empty and up when we fill it and appears to be accurate.

    Gel coat and graphics are very good, maybe not as immaculate as the Ski Nautique or Mastercraft that we compared against but still I'm pleased.

    Interior in my opinion is the nicest of ANY boat we looked at.

    The anodized tower looks good (my opinion) and is STOUT. I like that it is tall so there is plenty of headroom for our 10 inch NVS Addictions. (speakers are unbelievable!) Dropping the tower to park in the shop amounts to removing 4 allen head bolts. Not to tough with the little 1/4 inch drive ratchet I use but with the extra 60 lbs. of speakers it is a load coming down or up. I still would have liked the option for the integrated board racks like the 06's and I hope they are chrome finished or at least polished! I've spent hours polishing our billet supports to make them respectable and still have a long way to go to get them where they should have been to begin with.

    The tandem axle Prestige trailer (with Goodyear tires ) is very nice. Looks great, pulls like a dream and stops real fast.

    There is NO buyer's remorse here. We did a lot of shopping and feel we got the perfect boat for us.

    As you may have read we are getting a 2006 20V, I was just wondering if you have any hints or things you could tell me about the boat. We bought it without a testdrive in one, they only had one 22V in the showroom. ours comes with the taps and the ballast, perfect pass, pretty much all the goodies. Would love to hear what you know!

    Thx,
    Justin

        tige20v; We never did ride in a Tige' before buying and the only one we had seen was a 24V. Most of what I do know about Tige's I learned from the people on this site and a few others. I did forget to mention the handling of the 20V. I thought we might give up some handling going from a Supra I-drive but no way. You will be impressed. We will be waiting for your pics.

        draginass; Yes, we do need to schedule something. We are skier's that need someone to show us some wakeboard tricks! I did post some new pics at Wakeside Rides.

            Congrats all on your 20 V's. I also just purchased a new 04 20 V on July 1st and have about 30 hours on it. Everytime I take it out I like it more and more. Handling and power are great and the ability to adjust the wake is great with the TAPS. Overall I am very impressed with the boat. The only advice I have for you on your new boat is enjoy it. As stated earlier, no regrets here either.

              Ha Ha, then you don't need me! I'm a Wakesurfer who needs someone to show me wakesurf/board/skate tricks!

              All I have down on a wakeboard is the Surface 180 to faceplant

                NVS mounts

                How far apart can you mount the NVS? I would like to put them as wide as possible. Yours seem pretty close. Can you go any wider?

                Got my 22v delivered Saturday nite. UPS is supposed to deliver the speakers tomorrow and can't wait to get em mounted.

                  Lucky; Not without some kind of modification of some sort. When I talked with Duane at NVS it was apparent that the 1010's ( my first choice) would not work due to the width of the clamp placements and the bend of the tower. He suggested the Addictions and we placed the order BUT I was under the impression that there was ONE support clamp on each speaker when there is actually TWO with about a 1 inch space between them. When you see how heavy they are you will see the need for two but it severely limits the swivel capabilities of the clamps and this is as wide as I could get without aiming the tunes out to the sides. If you figure out a better way let me know. I may have given up some style points for these speakers but they really are amazing.

                  We will be waiting for your pics!

                      dachbr - I have a 22V but had originally thought of getting a 20V, have you been in a 22V? If so, how much of a difference in space do you think there is between the two?

                        Lucky 275;

                        what about this mount?
                        I had seen that pic before and I guess that's what led me to believe there was just one clamp. Looks like it might be the ticket! Let us know.

                        poohpotta; The only Tige's that we saw before buying were a 24V and a 20I. I made my choice based on careful examination of the little pictures in the brochure. I'm certain with the extra width and length the space in a 22V is quite noticable but the 20V has plenty for us.
