So I talked to acme and they want me to get either a 1579 or a 1619. I read that a lot of you are running 1235's but they wouldn't clear on my boat. The stock 537 is a 13.5 inch prop and I have 7/8ths of an inch clearance. That doesn't leave enough room for the 1235. Did I do something wrong?

I have the same boat, '05 24V. I do most of my boating at 5,000 feet plus. I went to a 1237 from acme and love it. Here is another thread on this issue.

I have a 2009 24Ve. At the recommendation of several on this site plus Acme themselves, I purchased a 1235 right up front since I expect to have a big ballast system.
I'm not sure about the differences between your hull and mine, but I agree the existing 13.5 inch prop is VERY tight. I think the 1235 will clear the hull, but I'm concerned about the prop hitting the trailer's prop guard. If a blade is pointed straight down when the boat settles on the bunks at the ramp, it's going to be very, very close.
Report back... I'm a little ways from installing my new prop and would love to hear what you discover.

Waboating. Do you need a prop puller? I have an acme I would sell for a good price with a carrying case The 1235 won't work, it would burn the gel coat. You need at least 5/8th clearance.Build thread: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?14787-Duffy-s-2005-24v-wakesurfing-mod-thread&highlight=duffys+24v

I will call Acme again and ask them about prop clearance. I had a lengthy conversation with them about my boat and the 1235 was their recommendation. Also, user "ragboy" here has a 24Ve on which he mounted a 1235 and had good results. His is a 2007 while mine is a 2009, so I don't know if there are any differences in the hull or running gear between the two.
I'll report back what I learn. Thanks!
