My boat is equipped with factory dual batteries. One is isolated for starting and the other for accessory. When I turn the key to start, the Tigetouch shows 14+ volts. When I turn the key left for accessory, it shows only 1.3 volts. I am charging the batteries using a Guest 30A two battery charger. The unit's lights turn from red to green indicating a full charge.
Modification - I have added two more batteries to support the stereo system and have wired them in parallel to the accessory battery. I am using 3/0 wiring to attach the second bank (under the observers seat) to the battery in the back compartment. From there I am using 1/0 to jump to the next battery and also 1/0 to my distribution block and amps behind the driver's kick panel.
As I run the stereo in accessory mode, my Tigetouch provides warning of losing data and low battery. The volts continue to drop and eventually show 0.0 - despite the fact that the stereo is still running strong!
Any ideas as to why the boat shows little to no voltage despite it actually being there?
