Correct bow roller size 2002 22i

The bow of my boat is not resting down into the bow roller properly. I bought the boat used like this and just this week asked my dealer to replace with the correct size roller. They came up with this option that isn't any better than what was on there when I brought it to them. The dealer says the stem that supports the winch and the roller is too short thus not allowing the bow to seat down completely. This doesn't seem right. As it is, the bow ring is tight up against the back side of the bow roller. I know this ring is strong as hell but just doesn't seem right. Anyone have any ideas or does your boat load like this?
    Thanks,
    Brandon

I had the same problem on the trailer for our RZ2. However, our stem is adjustable up and down and bow to stern. Each axis had 4 bolts for adjustment. I can not tell from your pictures if your stem is welded. Our trailer also has a larger roller. I would try a larger roller if your stem is static.

My post is not adjustable. The upright is welded. I wondered if maybe I need a bigger outside diameter roller with a smaller inside diameter. Seems like this would allow the boat to rest inside while leaving more room for the ring?

Oops, just looked at the pic again, didn't realize yours doesn't rest on the roller. That can't be right.

I had the same issue with my RZ2 on a boatmate trailer. I emailed boatmate the serial number to confirm it was made for a RZ2 and some pictures of the problem. They where very helpful and sent me a new bow stop brace and yolk to be welded on. Turns out the bow stop yolk (the piece of metal that the rubber bow stop bolts to that is welded to the top of the brace) was welded on with the wrong orientation. If you have a boatmate trail contact Jerry at jerry@boatmatetrailers.com if its a different brand contact the manufacturer.
