Not sure if I understand your question.
If you are asking, WHY are the newer hulls different then the hull in your 2000 model boat that is an easy one.
Tige is constantly doing R&D work to improve there hulls and boats. (Unlike other ski boat companies) In 2003 or so Tige made a change to most of the hulls and then again with the RZ series boats it looks to me as if they improve their design ever 4 years or so.

One thing I forgot to mention.
The older ski boats were designed for slalom skiing only. The new boats are design to be more vestal and give you a smoother ride in rough water.

Thanks for that i was thinking the same. Do you know why the hull lines went down at the front and then swooped back up nere the back with an air pocket spot and then flat out to the back?

You are talking about the negative chine and the spray pockets. The "negative chine" is the front edge you are talking about and the "spray pockets" are the notch-outs at the rear. I'm not 100% on their exact function but, they are there to enhance the slalom wakes. What ends up being a very happy coincidence is that they also produce a very nice surf wake shape.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
