    folding down Alpha Z tower?

I may need to routinely fold down our Alpha Z tower to fit in a storage unit this summer. I am looking for feedback of those who also have to do this.

When folded down, the tower appears to cradle into the seats. But I need to keep the cover on too. Videos on the Tige website make it appear there is not alot of downward force because of the springs.

Does anyone fold down the tower with cover in place?

Depending on how much stuff is on your tower will determine how heavy it is and how much pressure it will put on the cover.

Also depending on how high the storage is you may have to fold it down as far as it goes into the seats then back it in then lift it up and put the cover on.

Folding the tower is simple and only takes seconds, so you wont have any problems there.

you may have to build something that goes in the boat and holds the tower up so it doesn't tear your cover.

Ok We have a RZR in stock with Pro 60's, Swivel Racks, and A Bimini, and with all that on the tower the tower rests on the rear seat. We had a Z1 in stock with nothing on it and it rested above the rear seat and I think it would have worked for you. But if you have speakers and stuff it wont work. I would say build something that holds the tower up, or have a cover made that goes over top the tower when folded.

Pro60s and MB8s on the tower.

Thanks for the feedback! I might go with something as simple as a padded 2x4 across the back for the tower to rest on (instead of the cover).

Ya that would probably work the best. You could get some bunk carpet and carpet the 2x4 and just lay it across the back.
