FAE question. It seems that I saw it somewhere but thought I would ask, it might benefit someone looking at this thread. I have to take my swim platform off every time I put it in the garage. How does that affect the FAE and how far out does the FAE stick out? Do you need to remove the FAE and is this a quick connect?

X2 on manual filling and FAE. I guess if you really had to choose between one or the other then it would be the sacs but seriously, FAE is really something every surfing boat should have. We felt it was important enough that I had it ready to install before we actaully had the boat on the property. When we got it, the first thing we did was put the FAE before the first day of fun, the next day. That is how important we felt was to have.
Like someone suggested, maybe someone on here has some used sacs to sell to get you going.
Good Luck.
Thought I would include a pic of my FAE to show how far it sticks out behind the taps plate. Hope it helps.

Yeah, this thread pushed me over the edge to buy an FAE.
I have held on until now because we have a catalytic converter on our 409 and the engine is fairly quiet compared to most inboards I have heard.
Nonetheless! Time to eliminate exhaust smell and make it even quieter.
Edit: group buy is over but he gave me a $25 break because the unit I ordered was already in production.
