    Money where their mouth is

Check out the 1000.00 test drive offered by Tige. If that is not confidence, I don't know what is.

I can see people taking advantage of this. Kinda like offering money not to buy a Tigé. I hope it works out well.

I know by the time TONY,DOM AND KEVIN finish tag teaming a customer. They will be educated enough to know the only choice is a TIGE.

I love that about Tige. They help sponsor wake9, although we chose them first. They know we also talk about other boats, and such. But we always have the attitude, check out our tige, you will love it, and Tige has always had that same attitude. They just want people to equally give the tige the opportunity to get them in a boat, and they have the confidence in their product that most of the time the boat will speak for itself. Right on.

I hope this doesn't come back to bite them. People who are already intending to buy another boat can do a test drive, waste the dealer's time, and still get a grand before going to buy the boat they were already planning to buy in the first place. Bad idea IMO.

Since a Mastercraft X45 is $111,000.00 these days, and a RZ4 is $85,000...........who really needs the thousand bucks?

Theirs always that possibilty, but I think thats a plus if they never tryed the Tige in the first place, it might change their mind because they werent expecting it to be better, and also if the other dealer said Tiges did something that they dont do they might question the other dealers integrety.

^^ yup. that link i posted in roberts boat show forum prooves how rediculous MC is, 107 for a 21 footer x25? really? that thousand dollars will get you 1/100th of the way to a new master Craft!

but honestly i feel like this forces the dealer to step up. if the dealer does a bad job on the test drive then people are going to take their money and run.

years ago when I was sure I wanted a tige in ga. and nothing else would do. I had to call them back, after I left, to tell them that I'd come back and take another test drive as long as they had a different sales person. and as it turned out I didn't even want the second test drive because I thought they might mess that one up too. I knew the boat and I was sure I wanted a tige. The sales person just wanted to take out his grandchild and he had no idea how to shift the weight to clean up the wake. He didn't know how to get the speed off RPM and onto mph and on and on. it was windy and cold and I went from 99% sure to
80% surly not! so they still need a sales man or they will not make the sale.
But if they make one sale it pays for a lot of no sales!

I agree with you 100%, in new england there is only one boat dealer more or less for each brand scattered about the region. We went into the boat show 99% sure we would leave with an axis a20, but gave all other brands a look. Tige was definitely next in line. The malibu dealership here in mass are jerks which combined with some questions about axis blew the sale... the tige dealership as well as nautique WERE very helpful. the nautique dealership used to be a tige dealership actually. Its a shame the dealer is 2 hours away from our lake, but the service we got was pretty impressive compared to the other brands at the show, so i think theyve really hit the nail on the head with this promotion. Ive never been on a nautique but have been on several mastercrafts and a tige, and they are definitely comparable boats. if the sales team is good no one in their right mind is going to pay SIGNIFICANTLY more for an equivalent product, if not inferior product. So props to you tige, the only TOWBOAT BRAND TO INCREASE MARKET SHARE IN 2010 ( ill try to find where i read that).

                              I think this is great.

I own an old 2004 24v now. I plan on upgrading, but still love my 24v so much that I have a hard time justifying it.

We have been riding behind tons of other boats like the Xstar, 230 SAN, 23Supra and a 23 wakesetter. Always leave disapointed. The wakes are not as big, surf sucks compared to ours and drive like marshmallows for similar sized.
