    2006 vs. 2007 22VE

    What are the differences between a 2006 vs a 2007 22VE? Anything you see that you can't live without on a 2007 that a 2006 wouldn't have?

    Thanks!

The '07 came with a different dash and also had an improved Tige Speed Set cruise control that is supposed to be quite a bit better than the '06. What's the price difference between the 2?

There were a few 06's that were actually 24V's. They had a whole different hull and the older dash as well.

Make sure when looking at them, that the seller does not mislabel the V vs. the Ve. I have seen people do that. The 06 cruise control is painful, does not have a digital readout, and cannot be retrofitted to perfect pass.
      Be excellent to one another.

Tall is right, they made the V and the Ve in '06. The Ve has a different hull, interior, windshield, etc and the quickest way to tell the difference (if you are familiar with the models) is the transom activity center as they call it. If it has that, it's a Ve.

I noticed that you are in Colorado. If you are looking at boats from Wakeboard and Waterski Specialty, have no fear about buying from them! They are one of the best dealers in the country and they definitely take care of their customers!

In general according to NADA, there is about a $5k difference between the two which seems quite drastic to me. As for the older version of the tige speedset is it that bad compared to the digital newer version? Is the digital readout the only difference? The ones I've been looking at are for sure the VE's and not the V.

Any other differences in the two year models?

The extra price will be long forgotten,if you are satisfied with your purchase. The 5000.00 you save will be a burden of regret if you can't fully enjoy what your paying for.Focus on what it is you really want and need and find a way to make it work price wise.

Go test drive them both and decide if the $5k is that big of a deal. I will say this, if you are looking at the black/green '07 at WWS vs the '06 Ve that they have, make sure you notice that the '06 doesn't have board racks or tower speakers. You will want board racks, even cheap ones are $500 and tower speakers and amp will be another $1k at a minimum. It looks like the '06 might not have a bimini, that's another $750-$1k. These are the options that you find out that you do want/need once you get out on the lake and then you have to purchase them after the fact. That black/green color combo alone would be worth the $5k difference to me! I really like that boat.

IF those are the 2 that you are looking at...if so, like I said, go drive them and see which one you like better. I am biased since I have an '07 so I am used to that speed set and it is a great system.

Thanks for the responses. I've actually looked at both the boats you mention at WWS and due to some factors like hours, condition of boat, etc. we aren't interested in either. The '06 22VE is actually sold now and should be coming off their site soon.

Where is the digital speedometer read-out located on the dash for the '07+? I do see the difference in dash style for each but both have Taps2 and Tige SpeedSet. Do they somehow function differently?

Can't seem to find the earlier post of the red/black 24VE color scheme, did you mean the 2008 22VE that was just purchased up in the NW?
