Will 4 bucks a gallon keep your boat in the garage this summer?

It's not the $4 gas that will kill me, it's the $5 diesel because my lake is 55 miles away! Luckily I can store the boat at the lake so I won't have to tote the boat out there each time. I need another economy car so I can leave the truck and the boat at the lake and just run out there in the car instead.

We have a trip planned in June and I am already freaking out about it because when we planned it in January, it didn't look like fuel was going to skyrocket for no apparent reason...

The $4.00 per gallon will somewhat alter my time on the boat. But if all goes planed I may be moving into a house in Discovery Bay, and my boat will be on the water!
0 miles driving truck to the ramp = more $$ for gas and more time on the water....
but...
mortgage = less $$ for gas.
I guess I'll just have to see what happens.

The gas prices won't hurt the time out on the boat, but will stay closer to home to go boating. The lake I usually go to is a 70 mile drive to get down to. Now I will start boating on the river which I dislike because of how silty it is and the damn asian carp that have taken over the river.
