WTB 2009 RZ2...help me find it!

I need to do some research but if I could make it work I'd be interested in buying a Alpha Z tower...

I have a 2011 RZ2.I'm only 5'6" and it is possible for me to hit the speaker.I don't think the new tower is any taller.A six footer might clear in the center,but TALL wouldn't.IDK what to suggest.

when we bought our RZR (still being built) we looked at an r20 and a 2010 rz2. the whole family cleared the tower on the r20 and we are all 6 1 or 6 2, however brushed our head on the alpha z from twenty ten and expressed some concern, the dealer (long lake marine in maine) told us the tower was higher by about 5-6 inches and more comfortable for us 6 footers, this was observed on the vector but you may wanna double check because i never saw an alpha z from 2011 i hope the dealer wasnt just blowing smoke to get the boat sold.

Now that you mention it, I think I do recall something about the '2nd generation' Alpha Z being taller. Need confirmation about that.

as far as audio is concerned the pro 80s are designed to project sound because of their horn driver, i m curious to see how my 2 pro 80s compare to my friends MC speakers, he has to crank them up real high to be heard at 70 feet, making me go deaf...

I had an MC with 4 of their tower speakers, and they come from the factory way underpowered. He will do better with another amp, but even then, he will not reach the volume of a pair of pro 80's.

well then if we can get that confirmed maybe an rzr is the boat for you, they run in aorund 50-60 loaded down with all the necesseities, and have an alpha z that could potentially be a bit higher, which wont alleviate your problem but COULD turn crawling around the boat into a simple duck of the head

just out of curiosity what other brands are you looking at?

According to our engineering and our inventory control departments, the RZ model Alpha Z towers are exclusive the the RZ model boats and will not integrate to the ve models. Each Alpha Z tower models are engineered and patterned to their respective boat models.

This sounds like a challange to me, Can someone with a RZ2 measure how wide the tower is at the base? Inside dia. also thickness of tower at the lowest point? Thanks.

WOW...I didn't notice it at first when I looked at it, but once you do it looks kind of funny. That base is almost two feet long. I wonder how flat that folds down?

Holy WTF..I knew they were working on a taller Alpha Z but my god that thing is crazy. I like the height but I am not sure thats going to make the grade. i would like to see a better photo of the whole boat.

I don't think it looks too bad. It is definately large, but not excessive. I am looking at it on my phone, it may look different on a bigger screen.
