Here's a pic of my kids first boat ride at 5 weeks and first ski ride at 13 months. Look at that form! Back then (first year), she spent most of her day sleeping in her car seat with a blanket over it. They don't make vests that small but, the car seat was designed to float (or so they say, never tested that one out). The most important thing is keeping them out of the sun. Now-a-days she always wears a hat, sun block, rash guard and a life vest. She's going to be three this year and it will be her second season behind the boat on the EZ Ski.

            Nickypoo...

Great pix of your kids out on the boat & skiing. I'd assume your NV summers are just as brutal as our humid, triple digit summers. That's really the wife's biggest concern is protecting daughter from heat since she can't really communicate that yet. I'm sharing this thread with the wife so she see's all of ya'll out there with your little ones.

I remember the day that my dad boat our first boat when I was 2.5 y.o. and all of the good times out there. If not this summer, for sure next.

Heat, not so much. Although we do see 100+ temps here and there, it's the UV at 4500+ elevation that is the killer. Tahoe is really bad UV wise.

We are expecting our first in December. So next boating season, the little one will be about 6 months old. Good to see the feedback. I too grew up on boats from as early as I remember.

Are you in Reno/Tahoe? I find myself in Reno several times a year on business and love to drive out to Tahoe to snowboard during winter trips. You have a very beautiful lake!
