Unless you are in the backcountry!

Ok I get the whole backcountry thing. I have done it many times but never when there is a lift running. To me there is a fundamental problem with backcountry skiing when just down the road there is a perfectly good ski lift running. Also when we go backcountry for early or late season it's on snowmobiles.

First off I love to wakeboard more than snowboard. But if I had to pick a day of powder or a day of glass.... I would pick powder. Mainly because I get glass all the time and living in North Carolina powder is more than 2000 miles away! We were fortunate to have some powder days in Tahoe on our most recent trip. It is always hit or miss when you are so far away. It's not like I can skip work and hit the slopes because of a fresh pile of snow. POWDER IS A SPECIAL TREAT!
