There's no such thing as "too hot" when you're enjoying water sports.

But don't dismiss winter - as you can tell from this thread, a lot of people have a lot of fun in that frozen white stuff.

Speaking of heat: I've decided that what they call "global warming" is just another government redistribution program. Everyone understands that government likes to take our money and redistribute it to other people. Well, in the past few years I've noticed that while my summers have been noticeably cooler (we used to have a couple of weeks of solid 100F+ days, now we're lucky to break 100F even once) other parts of the country moan and complain about record-setting heat. They're quick to blame "global warming". Fair enough - that's just code for "heat redistribution". They've stolen my nice hot summers and given them to other regions. I want MY summers back!

POW for sure on my side. You have never lived until you have gone heli-skiing in the Canadian rockies for 10 days.

We are supposed to go to Powder Cowboy next year. I am looking forward to taking the banana to the Canadian Rockies!!

That is a really tough call. Your picture / story evoked a 10-minute day dream where my sub-conscious was arguing with itself and flashing images (brainwash style) of powder, then glass, then powder, then glass. Which was rudely interrupted by my boss requesting a report. The nerve, huh? Ultimately, I voted for glass. Can’t fully explain it, but man, I love hitting glass first thing in the morning.

On a side note, we should all consider ourselves very lucky. We all seem to be fortunate enough to board in the winter and the summer.

There is still snow in the mountains and wakeboarding season is on the horizon, life is good!

Not to wax too philosophical here, but I try really hard to recognize how fortunate a large number of us are to have these resources at our disposal. Speaking for myself, I try to invite others to share in the fun as much as possible to "spread the goodness around". Were the tables reversed, I know I would appreciate it.

Be thankful for what you have, and don't take it for granted.

I have tried Snow water and Sand and a fresh glassy lake is by far the absolute best. Carving on a wakeboard is great but hit that glass with a kneeboard and you will be in heaven. I only try new tricks in smoothe water because I hardly ever slam in glass.

But my list would go as follows...
              Glass
Fresh and smoothe dunes (comp hill especially)
              Powder.
2001 Tige 21V Fresh Air Exhaust, ballast, loud stereo, blue v drive, ACME 1235 prop Kneeboarding, Surfing, and having fun!

Global Warming has little to do with our seasonal weather patters which fluctuate every decade. Consider the great drought of the 30's (aka the great dust bowl of the Great Plains). We would had considered that global warming, right? wrong. Then again in the 50's. Global warming has nothing to do with seasonal changes based on our finite memory of how things used to be, or should be, or is now. As far as I'm concerned, the warmer it is, the more we like it. As for powder, love snow skiing but I prefer to get on an airplane to see it. Sometimes I wished we lived farther south than Tampa.

global warming is a crock. if you have ever seen the earths temperature patterns you would see this. we are still near the bottom of a trough in terms of a graph. we are thousands and thousands of years off of heat too hot to live in. The graphs show the earths weather patterns to bemuch like a sound wave or frequency wave.

I live in AZ and we see plenty of 100+ days during the summer. I wont even go to Havasu in the summer because the water is even too warm to let you cool off. but given if that were the only lake around. you bet your sweet bottoms we would be there. We hange around Roosevelt lake and Apache lake. anyone go there?

Sorry guys I suck at water skiing (and I ski on the Delta ), so bottomless powder and face shots wins my vote. Plus my new tele skis are freaking amazing in the deep!!!

Got some more fresh snow last night! Should be in the 70's next week. Ahhh, spring in the Sierras.

There's talk of several resorts staying open until the 4th of July.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Thought about it for awhile, and I am going with the water. Went to Keystone this year and had a blast. First time to a real mountain and hitting the bowl was awesome. I plan on going again sometime, but just doesn't top the lake. Having family and friends in the boat is great every time I go. Besides my wife won't go snow skiing.lol

If you live on a lake like I do, glass is just a typical weekday without wind, however in new England powder is more elusive, maybe ten times a year, making floating in 15 inches of fresh so much more satisfying

I live in Utah where I get both. Last Friday we did our annual ski in the morning and water ski in the afternoon. I do both very well and hands down I would take a powder day over smoke on the water in the morning. Just me and the Mtn NO boat, NO noise, and always remember there are NO friends on powder days.

That, to me, is the best part.
