Thanks guys. I used a good ol' pencil and paper to design the tower, then used photoshop to modify the Axis tower to fit the 21v. I will be the one to build the tower. I am yet to figure out a hinge mechanism for where the hoop meets the solid legs. I will probably end up using either a thin walled stainless for the tubing and 1/4" Mild steel plate for the base. This will help add a little extra weight to the middle. The hoop will be just like the axis hoop except probably some fancier gussets in the corners. and the base will probably have Tige or 21v Riders Edition CNC plasma cut into it. To cover the existing hole in front of the windshield I will use a stainless plug and rubber gasket. For the base of the tower I will plate the underside with 1/4" plate. The bottom line of the base will match the contour of the windshield. Everything will be powdercoated for durability. and the support legs will be a bolt on afair with a decent footprint on the bottom to help sturdy it up.

thank you. This project wont take place for a bit. My wife and I bought this boat jointly with my Mom. So we all have to come to an agreement on things we do to the boat. (except the ballast because I said we absolutely need one for surfing and kneeboarding and they thought it was fine without.) We have decided to upgrade the stupid 14" stock wheel with atleast 15" so we can purchase an e rated tire. We have eaten tires on this trailer like no tomorrow. (7 flats/ blow outs in 2 years! + the last unflattened tire has lost all of its tread. We will also replace wheel bearings and what not before summer. I would like to do it before the end of the summer but we will see I guess.

What tires have you been running?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

load range D trailer tires. What ever is available at the point we get a flat. If we are on our way to the lake we stop at the nearest town to have a new tire put on that rim for a spare.

Take it to an alignment shop. The axle may be out of alignment.A good trailer shop also could check it along with a frame shop. You have to find someone that knows what they are looking at.I would not suggest just any tire store as they are there to sell tires.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

X2, and make sure the tires have enough air. When you figure out how much the boat and trailer weigh, look at the max load rating on the tires, to get that max load they need max cold psi. It's worse to under inflate tires than over inflate on a trailer, as long as you don't go over the max cold psi.

we inflate to the max cold PSI every time we pull we check it before we leave the house and before we leave the lake to come home. I know that two of the blow outs were from a wheel bearing overheating on the port side. and finally the wheel bearing took a dive last year and took out the spindle with it. I replaced the spindle, hub/ rotor, bearings, break pads, tire, bearing buddy and cap the others were due to the stress from the other blow outs I believe. I would just feel much more comfortable with a 15" rim and a load range E tire. 10 ply tires are less likely to seperate a tread, so Im told. and 8 ply tires will run hotter due to the softer sidewall. And with a 15" wheel we have better style options.
