    Bending board rack

I recently purchased the Inland surfer Blue quad fin surfboard, and as expected it is just tad to thick to fit into the swivel racks on my 2008 22VE Z tower wakeboard racks.

I know there is another thread that discusses which extra rack that I can buy, I believe it was bulletline, but at 179-252 dollars, plus shipping ect, I wanted to try something else first.

Has anyone tried to bend the wakeboard rack slots wide enough to fit a surf boards. Then all I would have to do is add longer bungee cords.

I talked to a person who welds aluminum and he says that you dont want to heat it to much, and it can possible fracture depending on the grain.

Has anyone have experience with this.

If not I will be ordering the bullettline rack unless there is other recommendations.
The worst day of boating is still the better than the best day of work......, unless you bend your prop.

We a little mishap pulling or 20V out of our garage and broke off one of the aluminum pieces on the rack to keep the board in. It ended up that a buddy of mine had to weld it back on, so welding is a possibility.

I have a Bulletlines single that I am not using if your interested. The bolt pattern matches the Tige Oval plate. PM me if interested. I currently have a double surf made by nice rack. It was gived to me and works well but they are spendy.

        Here are picks of both.

        Krypt single

I don't know what the Bullet line cost, but i picked one of these up off eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-HydroW...item2a0f3232b8 The forks match the bolt pattern of the Tige oval plates. You will need to add a bungee though. I tried to see if they would just sell the forks, but they wouldn't. So you'll have extra parts for a paperweight.

It was my first board and has been great for the beginners and everyone I don't want riding the really expensive boards. It was good for the first year but the second year I moved on to a Walker F-18 and a IS 4-skim. This year it will be a Walker signature or a IS Flyboy but the Blue lake will always be in the boat.

Same here. We started with the IS Blue Quad and moved on to a Walker F-18 (and a Hyperlite skim). But the quad will always be in the boat as it is such a great board for those who cannot ride the more twitchy F-18.
