For me I used the same bow holes from the factory tower. On my boat if I mounted the aft section up top the leg plate would not have contacted enough fiber glass so I mounted the aft section on the side. And picked the side location that made the rails follow the windshield line the best.
The instructions it came with are not the best. For me installing it was not super difficult. But I do all my own boat maintenance/repair. I am a BMW master tech so after working on complicated cars all day the boat is simple.

I have no idea what your budget is but when I totaled my Tige E-Series tower my insurance covered a Samson Razor Upgrade. Once I adjusted the bimini it was rattle free, no wobble and was easy to raise and lower for 1 adult with a pair of Pro60's on it. Great looking tower but expensive. Everything about the tower is top notch.
