Are the Aerial Assualt towers any good? It's had to find any reviews or comments about them. Are they sturdy/no rattling. I like the look of them compared tho the Monster Tower. Anyone??
It does fold down but not very easy and requires two and tools. It folds down to the bar above the window. Basically the "bat wings" on the back you unbolt them from the mounted legs.
And I have not "fully" installed it yet still need to wire in tower speakers and lights. I really only got to use it a few times before the end of the season. And loc-tite every thing... Wish I did that first lost on screw into the lake for the bimini top my last trip out.

Is the tower sturdy? When you say you need 2 people to take it up/down,could you use a wood board to hold it up. That way you are able to do it yourself. Is the Assualt Tower hard to take down? I do not always have someone to help me.
In choppy Water I got some side to side sway but I also have a pair of wetsounds speakers mounted on it.
Ya I guess you could use a wood board to support it. You also have to remove the Bimini top frame before folding it. It is not that easy to fold up and down.
I have never folded mine so I can't say anything about that but it is sturdy. Not as sturdy as some new factory towers but a lot better than the metcraft tower. Make sure all the set screws are very tight. The polished one is not anodized. I didn't realize this and the after the first winter I had it there was a lot of corrosion so I had it powder coated. Had I paid attention to this I could have keept it from getting corroded. I mounted it in the existing front holes from the old tower and made new holes for the rear mounts. If I did it all over again I would buy it again.

Did you install it yourself? I call a couple dealers and they want my left arm to install it. I look at the Aerial site and read the directions. Not really telling me much about measurements besides measuring from the same point on both sides. I just don't want to screw it up.Also, was there anything that you could have done to keep from corrosion?
I did install it myself. Twice. You will need at least one other person and it takes several hours. I think I spent an entire saturday doing it the first time. It is a real pain. The directions are not very good and there is a lot of parts to it but if you're patient and have help you should be able to do it.
I should have said oxidation not corrosion. There are aluminum sealers that can be used to stop it. I have never use this brand but here is one I found with a quick search. http://shineseal.com/
I noticed that all 3 of the guys have it mounted differently. One has it mounted from the side, another from the top and one a combination of both.Is it more sturdy one way verses the other?
