LA Boat Show Special from Slide Anchor

I was at the LA Boat Show yesterday and I was talking with the Owner of Slide Anchor. I asked him if he interested in a group sales at Tigeowners.com. He said he would hold his Boat Show prices for 10 days for tigeowners.com members. All you have to do is contact him through his website at Slideanchor.com and he will even pay for shipping.

I bought a 2nd box anchor for my boat and the Danik hook.

If your going to by a shore spike, buy the large it only $10 more and well worth it.

Sounds good. Thanks for thinking of the crew! What were his boat show prices?

How do box anchors work on bottoms made up of small pebbles/rocks? We have real trouble setting our anchor in the river we boat in.

Why did u need a 2nd box anchor? Did the first one not get the job done or what? Do I need 2 of these for a 22ve?

Can you tell us the prices or the discount?

What size box anchor do you have?

In trying to get the prices I emailed Slide Anchor and will post if I get a response. If I do not hear from them I will call them tomorrow.

We have used our large box anchor (made by Slide Anchor) in the river (3-5 mph current, mud bottom) and lakes (various sand, mud and rock). I love the drop and forget. It also re-sets itself if it pulls loose.

The large is HEAVY. My wife is not a fan of being on anchor retrieval duty.

That Danik Hook is amazing. Variable length anchor line that clips right on to the front bow ring. Amazingly useful and worth every penny. I need to buy a second one for my 30' anchor line (I have a 100' that the Danik Hook is on--you can quickly adjust down to 30' but then all that extra rope is around).

I now have two large box anchors

The only pricing I remember was:
                  Large box anchor $160
                  Danik $35
                  Large Spike $60

I bought the second anchor because, I normally leave my anchor at the cove and if we go somewhere else during the day and want to hang out for a while and wouldn't have an anchor on board.

I talked to Ryan at Slide Anchor. They are busy moving to a new building and are doing new phone and network lines. He is thinking that we start to order next week sometime. He would prefer to have you call him to discuss what you need, correct sizes, which lines, etc..., rather than bombard him with emails. He can be reached at 928-855-1108 or slideanchor@msn.com. He did want to make sure that once we start ordering he is ready to ship so that whoever orders does not think he is delaying, this is why he would like us to wait till next week

                      He mentioned the following prices:
                      $20 off a box anchor
                      $10 off a spike
                      $5 Danik Hook

He has not decided but may include shipping as well. He may even end up doing a complete 20% off of anything on the website becasue not all of the items were on sale at the boat show. He did say that once it starts it would go for 10 days. If I hear back from him next week I will let you guys know.

I had the large box anchor on my 35 Cigarette and 29 DCB cat. Overkill for both unless in heavy current.

I still have the large anchor, but would probably get a small one just because of the weight of the large one. Definitely an awesome anchor!

I had the small for my 24V, and it would sometimes lose its hold when windy. That may have had something to do with my 10' bimini, but since I went to the large, no more problems.

Definitely keep up posted ll...I want to order a danik hook & a new shore spike.

My box anchor works great for the RZ4...But even better than the anchor is the old engine block we use out front of the house.
