    2008 Tige RZ4 - good for slalom?

I have a friend looking to purchase an RZ4. He is looking for a good combo Ski/Wakeboard boat. I know this boat receives outstanding reviews for boarding. How will it work for moderate to advanced slalom?

I don't know how it compares to other boats its size, but I can't imagine that ANY 24-ft v-drive will produce a very flat slalom wake. A moderate skier, using it for recreational fun, may find it OK. But I really doubt that an advanced skier would enjoy it. Your friend really needs to get a pull behind it to decide if he likes the wakes - both ski and wakeboard.

Define moderate to advanced. One person's idea of advanced could be completely different than another's.

The 24 has a good slalom wake because the bow goes down more due to length , as far as more advance skiier they wont like the spray for veiwing the next bouy dependent on line length.
We have run the course at 15 off 32mph with no problem and enjoyed the pull.

I call advanced at 22 off and 34mph and up, we have always run at 15 off you dont get as much line slact at 15 as you do at 75 feet.

The RZ4 has a terrible ski wake for anything other than just hanging on behind the boat. If it is better than the RZ2, the RZ2 must be truly horrible.

What is your defintion of terrible, at 15 off with taps at 2 it has a nice rounded lip, no prop hump, no gully in the middle and a soft no bounce wake to cut through, the only thing we dont like is the spray , which blocks our view of the bouys.
When you compare that to an equal size boat of any other brand , the others dont compare.
Is it as good as my 20i , no , but for a 4500lbs boat its capable of creating a very respectble session, and by comparison , my 20i is no match for the wake surfing, so it just depends on what is going to be the most type of sport they are going to use it for.

Isnt it a wakeboard boat?? I can't see how it could lay down a flat wake? Best thing I've found is grab your stick and ski it thats truly the only way to tell how the wake is?

I freestyle walk, roller blade & even sled dog behind mine and the wake is great.
