We're in Reno, but I grew up in LV and went to grad school at the U (buddy went to the Y but we won't hold THAT against him), so we've sorta got the me-KSL-boat location trifecta going on....

No kiddin'. It sure would be nice to have another Northern Nevadan on here. Me and Rushin are the only two. We both ride out at Lahontan for as long as we can every year. That should be until at least August this year. We're not very hard to track down out there and it would cool to see another Tigeowner (your buddy) out there.

Interesting to find out - Nevada Proof of sales tax is not required on a casual sale.

It is weird how different states work. I had to pay on the trailer but not the boat, based on our state. Also if he is getting a loan, some of them automatically build that in.

That's because Colorado doesn't have a title on the boat! I bought my first boat in UT and brought it here and was shocked that the state/city didn't want to collect their 8.85% sales tax on an $18k purchase and just had me put a price on the trailer. Uhhh, how does $500 sound for a brand new boat trailer?

OK spoke with Bad05 and sounds like boat is off the market. Good for him, bad for my buddy. If you guys see anything come up in the $35K range within 500 or so miles of Reno, please pass it along. He's a cash buyer and ready to move, but is getting somewhat frustrated with the process (too slow on a couple, unresponsive sellers on a couple of others, etc).

Yeah, anything over 110 is good to go. We run out of the SS side and generally ski the Bathtub first thing and then surf straight out from 8 unless we hit the narrows. That is as long as the water is deep enough. I'll keep an eye out for you though. You can't miss my Tige. Check my gallery.
