    Opinions wanted

    Looking at a 02 21v tonight and know of a 01 23v about 3 hrs away.
Was wondering what opinions everyone had and about what they should be worth.
They are both decent optioned out and mid 300 hr.
The 21 has the merc 315 and the 23 has the merc 330.
I mostly do surfing and I want to spend (25k +/-) locally.
I'm leaning twords the 21 since it fits in my garage and personally like the tower on it more then the one on the 23v.

Welcome to the site. What is your location? The best advice would be to actually drive each and test it the way you would plan to use it. Sometimes it pays to drive to get a good deal. I drove 9 hours one way. Another Tige owner just made a trip that was 1700 miles one way to get a good deal

    Good luck on your search.

Here is a national search to give you an idea on prices:

Welcome to the site! Happy to see you took my recommendation and came over from WakeWorld! Surfdad (James Walker's dad) used to own a 23V and it threw a good enough wave to get his kid to the pro wakesurfing level! That has to mean something!

I'm in the oklahoma city area.
        The 23v is in dallas.
The only 02 21v that pulled up is the one i'm going to look at. I'm thinking of the 23-24k range but the 23v in dallas is 18.5k which makes it hard.
They both look great, what do you all think of the price?
Surf dad's wake did look very impressive.

The 21v seems to be priced right, our dealer here has an '01 with twice the hours for $21,500:

well the 21v has been rode hard.
Front fin is broken, stainless steep pitched prop is chipped on the edges, vinyl is kind of rough and bilge is greasy and dirty.
Plugs are original and most of the metal parts are rusty.
Both board rack have issues. Just lots of little things and owner is kind of a douche. I offered 21 with all the issues and how it's been treated. He pretty much said he'll wait for someone who doesn't know what their looking at.

I think your offer sounds more than fair.

I would buy this if I were in the market for a 23V. New tower, upholstery looks to be in great shape. Can build an extremely respectable surf wave. Everyone needs to take a trip to Vegas now and again, right?

The 2001 21V I just traded for a 2011 Axis A20 is at Marine World here in Wichita. I know it is in great shape, follow this link:
                      http://www.marineworld.com/pre_owned...R0&veh=1998905

He is at $26,900 which sounds about $2000 to high to me, but like I said it is clean and they are few and far between around here.

I'd go with a 21" because it will fit in the garage and that's pretty handy, and even more valuable during the winter months.

                        x2

That was one that I suggested as a comparison but for the price and look it seems good.

                          Skipabb,
Those are different boats. The one in vegas is about 5k cheaper too.

My bad, your right I had clicked on the link but never posted the one that you posted. I had looked at all of the Tige's on KSL. I thought it was the same and had checked but I did it quick.

We've had our 23v a little over a year and LOVE the surf wave on it. Course we had advice from Surfdad on how to weight it and CHP to get us the gear

We looked at a few 21vs prior to getting our boat but decided on the 23 for the extra room and the great wave. Just our personal opinion. You need to ride in both of them because they're quite a bit different.
