Custom tower

I said I like the look of the square tubing but as you stated almost all assesories are made for round tubing. I dont want to have to fabricate everytime I want to add or change something. I was already going to put reinforcing backing in. I just wasnt sure exactly how I was going to do it. I really like the marine plywood idea. I think I might do a hybrid of that and combine it with a metal plate of the same size backing the wood up. That way I know all the load will be evenly spread over the entire area. What epoxy did you use and where did you get it.

No problem with that, but if you use marine plywood you won't need much metal!

I had the same Joystick Tower on my previous boat (same color to) as WABoating and it worked great, my only complaint was that it was hard to put up and down. If you never have to put it up or down, say to get it out of your garage every time you go out, then this tower is great. The mistaked I made was not taking into consideration the ease of the tower collapsing. I bought the tower this tiime of year a few years back and since it was winter they gave me a great deal oon tower and two board racks,less then $1,000 (i think).
